The former Manchester United player said that he first saw Victoria in one of his club's matches. The two met a week later but he failed to talk with the former Spice Girls. A new opportunity came after he competed again a few weeks later. David was finally able to talk with his idol.
"I didn't get a chance to talk with him that day, but a week later he returned to Manchester to see another match. He also seemed to be having a drink, then I thought, 'Why not? I'll get the number,' David Beckham told Jimmy Kimmel .
They were engrossed in talking for hours there and Victoria wrote down her telephone number on the train ticket she was riding that day. Objects that have memories are still stored by David to this day.
"Twenty years later and four children," he said, showing the ticket.
