Margaret Tate (Sandra Bullock) is a type of woman 'power' that does not hesitate to oppress the men in the office work place if they do not fit with what Margaret wanted. Margaret had never realized that sooner or later he would 'need' the help of his men. One day, Margaret had trouble with immigration officials and the woman who worked as an editor of this book is threatened deported back to Canada. Boss enjoys his life in America and did not want to mess her career, Margaret and admitted that he was going to marry Andrew Paxton (Ryan Reynolds), one of his men.

'The couple suddenly' it was then to pretend that they will be getting married and decided to vacation at Andrew's house so that all that trickery looks convincing. Actually, from a small idea that does not make sense though, a good director would make an interesting story that could be entertaining as well as a mirror for the audience. For a movie called THE PROPOSAL, Anne Fletcher, the director trying to raise the standard theme found in many films and romantic comedies make a spectacle of 108 minutes duration entertaining enough. Nothing new in this film. The same idea was also offered the movie A WALK in the clouds is the theme of 'pretending to get married' or perhaps more appropriately called 'pretending to be real'. It was actually legitimate origin can not be trapped in the end that also treats a classic feel. About this one, Anne was much helped by the two main actors are quite competent. Sandra Bullock plays a quite effective iron-handed woman while Ryan Reynolds was convincing enough to appear as an innocent man is oppressed.

It's enough to make THE PROPOSAL is so interesting because it treats the standard pattern, the audience must have known how to end the story, so there's no point in making the plot so convoluted that end up damaging the enjoyment of this movie. Unfortunately, the script seems less able to make the entire portion to be quite convincing. The proof is in the end, there is the impression that the story was in a hurry after ending. If previous Bullock and Reynolds has performed the maximum, as they approached the ending just does not seem capable of producing a satisfactory appearance. Because the script is not possible, the original chemistry has awakened so messy. There was no moment enough to reverse the relationship between Bullock and Reynolds that even the ending was a bit bland.
